Ryan Lochte fiasco in Brazil

Ryan Lochte goes to Rio 2016 Olympics in Brazil and had other plans than swimming.  Somewhere in his swimming career he got lost from reality and thought he was too powerful to get in any trouble.  Let’s call it the #MichaelVick syndrome!  Fame and power went to his head and he wants to walk around Rio De Janeiro, Brazil like a God during the Rio 2016 Olympics.  He is also white privileged so consequences will be minor to Vick or at least he will get better media coverage than being called a thug or even having to admit to his crime.  He can get his hand popped and go back outside and play effect.  If there is an effect what was the cause?  Glad you asked!  Ryan Lochte decides to vandalize the gas station bathroom in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil for no reason and blame the natives of Brazil for harassing him.  In the process, making the United States of America look horrible on such a big stage.  Now the world looks at Americans like disrespectful idiots to an even further extent.  Ryan Lochte has lost all of his major endorsement deals as swimwear company Speedo USA, clothing line Ralph Lauren Corp. RL, -0.82% , mattress maker Airweave USA and a hair-removal brand have dropped their sponsorship of the Olympic swimmer in the wake of the Rio de Janeiro scandal.  Endorsement deals are how Olympic swimmers make their money.  Hopefully, Ryan Lochte takes a long look in the mirror and mentors the youth so they don’t make the same silly mistakes that he has made.

Serena Williams forgives Indian Wells

Serena

Serena Jameka Williams (born September 26, 1981) is an American professional tennis player who is currently ranked No. 1 in women’s singles tennis. The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has ranked her World No. 1 in singles on six separate occasions. She became the World No. 1 for the first time on July 8, 2002, and regained this ranking for the sixth time on February 18, 2013, becoming the oldest world no. 1 player in WTA’s history. Williams is also regarded by some experts and former tennis players to be the greatest female tennis player in history. She is the only female player to have won over $60 million in prize money, and is the reigning Australian Open, US Open, WTA Tour Championships and Olympic ladies singles champion. Frequently hailed as the Queen of the Court by the general media, Williams holds the most major singles, doubles, and mixed doubles titles combined amongst active players, male or female. Her record of 34 Grand Slam titles puts her sixth on the all-time list: 19 in singles, 13 in women’s doubles, and 2 in mixed doubles. She is the most recent player, male or female, to have held all four Grand Slam singles titles simultaneously (2002–03), and the fifth woman ever to do so. She is also the most recent player together with her sister Venus Williams to have held all four Grand Slam women’s doubles titles simultaneously (2009–10). She has won 13 Grand Slam doubles titles with her sister Venus and the pair is unbeaten in Grand Slam finals. Serena Williams is also a five-time winner of the WTA Tour Championships. Serena Williams is one of only five tennis players all-time to win a multiple slam set in two disciplines, matching Margaret Court, Roy Emerson, Martina Navratilova and Frank Sedgman. Williams has also won four Olympic gold medals, one in women’s singles and three in women’s doubles, an all-time record shared with her sister Venus. World No. 1 Serena Williams has buried the hatchet and will return to Indian Wells to play in the tournament she has boycotted for 14 years after suffering racist abuse. She has discovered the “true meaning of forgiveness” and would go for a third title in the California resort in March.

Knicks, Cavs, and Thunder

JR Smith

The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Iman Shumpert and JR Smith as they sent Dion Waiters to Oklahoma City Thunder! Three big names in the NBA are going to be making impressions on their new teams in 2015. New York Knicks have giving up on this season and are looking forward to the NBA draft. Apparently, Dion Waiters and Lebron James were clashing in Cleveland so we shall see how he likes playing with J. R. Smith. Carmelo Anthony now knows exactly what it feels like to be Kobe Bryant. NBA fans should love the redistribution of the players!

Rajon Rondo to Dallas Mavericks

Rondo

The Dallas Mavericks acquired Rondo along with rookie power forward Dwight Powell from the Celtics in exchange for center Brandan Wright, point guard Jameer Nelson, small forward Jae Crowder, a protected first-round pick, a second-round pick and a $12.9 million trade exception in a deal finalized Thursday night.  Rajon Rondo is a proven champion.  Good a time as any to make this trade for a strong push into the playoffs!

The five Rams players

Rams

The five Rams players who entered the field before Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders in St. Louis with their hands in the air in “don’t shoot” poses will not be fined for their actions.  “As far as the choice that the players made, no, they were exercising their right to free speech,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Monday. “They will not be disciplined by the club nor will they be disciplined by the National Football League as it was released today.”The players had used the team’s pregame introductions to offer a show of support for protesters in nearby Ferguson. As the Rams’ offense was introduced, tight end Jared Cookand receivers Kenny BrittStedman BaileyChris Givens and Tavon Austin stopped near the tunnel and raised their hands in a nod to the fatal shooting of black teenager Michael Brown by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9. Some witnesses said Brown had his hands up before being shot. Wilson, who is white, testified to the grand jury that Brown had hit him and reached for his gun.

Jeff Fisher said it best, that the NFL players didn’t do anything wrong by coming out of the tunnel with their hands up.  Only the racist people in the NFL were upset and wanted the pro players to give an apology to the police department!  The divide in America is so serious that it has entered into the Sports world.  There is a legitimate concern about how often cops kill young black men.

Shannon Brown to Miami Heat

Shannon Brown

Shannon Brown is going to the Miami Heat for what it looks like to be his last hurrah in the NBA. The Miami Heat are a very resilient basketball team. Now the Miami Heat can display Shannon Brown with Dwyane Wade as well as Luol Deng creating their own trio once again! How far can they go without a true big man? The Phoenix Suns had a trio similar to this and it didn’t work out too well so we shall see.

Kevin Love to Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Love

Kevin Love is going to Cleveland Cavaliers for the exchange of three #1 draft picks! So now Lebron James has replaced Chris Bosh with Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving in exchange for Dwayne Wade. The NBA is really Lebron James league right now and we have never seen any story like this before. Lebron really does look like he is ready to build an empire with his homecoming. We can already see Lebron James vs. Dwayne Wade in the Eastern Conference Championship game but we can’t forget the Chicago Bulls !?

Pau Gasol to Chicago Bulls

Pau Gasol

Chicago Bulls have taken Pau Gasol out of the west! Pau Gasol averaged 17.4 points and 9.7 rebounds last season but has dealt with injuries. Chicago Bulls didn’t get what they wanted from free agency but they didn’t walk away empty handed either. Pau Gasol contribution and his experience as a champion could get Chicago Bulls far into the playoffs, furthermore, it all boils down to Derrick Rose being healthy for Chicago Bulls to compete in the NBA Finals.
